How to Make a Party in a Box

Hi Friends! I've often talked about how I want to make a party in a box for sale. I thought it would be so great to just make a fun kit so someone could throw an instant party - who cares what the occasion is?

I never got around to it, however, recently I thought it would be fun to mail my cousin some goodies for an upcoming small party. Just a little something to say "Hello" and "Hey, let's party!"

I started with a box and decided it was a little too plain. I grabbed my beloved Sharpie pens in fun colors (gold, hot pink, and turquoise) and drew different patterns on each panel of the box.

I also threw in festive paper plates and cups from Cheeky! Cheeky is sold exclusively at Target and features fun designs to an otherwise boring paper plate. Even better? With each purchase, Cheeky will donate one meal through a partnership with Feeding America. I love products that have that "give back" aspect.

Since the party is for a boy, I chose the blue designs: blue border 10" paper plates, blue scalloped stripe 7" paper plates,  and blue chevron stripe cups. And because of a special promotion (hurry, it's through January 24!), I also got a napkin pack for free! So that's four meals donated to Feeding America. Yay! Plus how can you say no to chevron?

To jazz the package up even more, I threw in my new favorite thing - a miniature piñata! How can you not love a miniature rainbow donkey? I filled him with candy, so if you're mailing this to someone, be advised this adds a lot of extra weight!

I finished the box off with "Happy Birthday" candles and some red striped paper straws. Viola!

I think this is a great way to help someone get a party started. You don't have to supply everything for a party (let them add their own personalities) but it's definitely a fun package to send!

If you're curious, I bought everything at Target, so you can definitely add these to your shopping list and get it all in one place.

What would you put in a party box?

Note: I bought all of these items myself. I was not compensated by anyone to write this post.
