Holiday Girls' Night In + Festive Holiday Sangria
Hi Friends! My hosting momentum is in full swing. First there was Friendsgiving, and now, girls' night in! A few of my friends and I decided it would be good to make sure we saw each other quarterly. We all lead busy lives given our families, jobs, hobbies, etc so it's hard to make time to just hang.
This past weekend I had them over for girls' night in.
I'm a big fan of sangria no matter what time of year it is. But this one looks festive, right?
Here's the recipe, although there's not much to it:
Festive Holiday Sangria
- Pinot Grigio, or other dry white wine
- Sparkling Grape Juice (got mine from Trader Joe's)
- Red apple
- Green apple
Slice up the apples into bite sized chunks and throw them into a pitcher. Add cranberries. Add the wine and juice and mix it up!
I also served some finger foods such as tuna salad bites, cheese and onion pastry puffs (also from Trader Joe's - yum!), salad, fruit, candy, and these yummy desserts.
The assorted macarons were from Trader Joe's (I swear, I'm not paid to pimp out this place. I just love it!) and I made these pops with TJ's peppermint version of Oreos. Here's the recipe I used.
Everything turned out great together and all the ladies had a great time. I love how easy it is to throw a party together with a few homemade snacks mixed in one store-bought ones. It's okay to go semi-homemade once in awhile!
I also made some treat bags, which I'll post about later on.
Are you hosting any holiday parties?
This post is part of the link parties on this list.
