Alt for Everyone Returns!
Last week registration opened up for the flagship Alt Summit event in Salt Lake City. It's a conference that is perfect for bloggers and they really go all out with their guest speakers and sponsors. Everyone dons their best attire to attend the workshops, hand out snazzy business cards, make friends, and learn amazing tips to grow their blog.
Obviously, I wanted to go.
But unfortunately I couldn't afford the steep ticket price ($600+) and the airfare and the lodging. I had just bought a car and splurged on a stand up paddleboard membership. My pockets aren't exactly flushed with cash these days.
But this week, Alt Summit announced something else. Alt for Everyone is returning in September!! If you recall, I loved this event. It brought the awesomeness of Alt SLC, NYC, or San Francisco right to your fingertips. The "conference" was being held exclusively online.
At first I was a little discouraged. This was actually happening the weekend of my birthday. I didn't plan to have a whole weekend-long celebration since it isn't a milestone birthday, but I was worried about an important class being on the last day. I also felt like I gained so much information the first time, what more is there to learn? The answer is: tons.
I checked out the schedule and found I could load up all of my courses on Thursday, September 26 and Friday, September 27, with the ability to have September 28 all to celebrating my day.
Here's what I took back in May:
- Graphic Design for Bloggers 101, 201, and 301
- Photoshop for Bloggers
- Organized Online
- iMovie for Bloggers
- Your Blog is a Business: Blog Documents
And here's what I'm taking in September:
- How to Start Selling Ads on Your Blog
- Shooting in Manual Mode
- Illustrator for Bloggers
- Growing Your Blog: A Case Study
- Photography Best Practices: Photo Styling 101
- Media Kits
I highly recommend this to all bloggers. If you're looking to grow your readership, learn about design and photography, get organized, work with brands and sponsors, and think about legal documents, this is for you. There's something here for everybody and every one that I've talked to is so grateful they took the classes. The ability to pick classes based on your schedule is a major plus, too.
With your registration fee you get to take up to 7 classes of your choice, one keynote session, one meet and greet or PJ bash session, and for an extra $10, a goody box!
All you need is some uninterrupted time to sit at your computer - whether it's at work, on your couch, or in a coffee shop - just make sure the internet connection is good. Pajamas optional.
So, will I see you "there?" Click here to register!
