For some reason or another, I'm completely obsessed with the Expedit shelving unit from IKEA. There's something about a large, totally grid-like book shelf that just tickles my fancy. Is it the fact that you can use it to organize and decorate with this? That it's super affordable? That it's so clean and fresh? Who knows, but what I can tell you is that every time I see the Expedit shelf pop up in my Pinterest feed, I have to pin it. It's almost worth of its own board.
And to make matters worse, there's no space in my home for it. So it kind of feeds into that whole "you want what you can't have" theory. I want it even more!
There's just so much you can do with this shelving unit. Use it to divide a large room or separate the bedroom from the living room in a studio. It can organize your books. Display cute trinkets. Organize an office. Make cubbies for a classroom. Seriously, the Expedit can do so much!
It also comes in all shapes and colors. You can get a large 5x5 cube or keep it small at 2x2. You can also get it 4 boxes long and 2 high. You can lay it horizontally or vertically. You can add doors, paint the shelf, or add some scrapbook paper or wallpaper to the back. It comes in white, black, birch, and more.
Here are some more inspiration photos.

Have I convinced you that you need one now, too?
So is there a piece of furniture you're obsessed with? Is it weird that I have an obsession with a shelving unit? It's okay. You can tell me... :)
