I'm Going to Alt Summit for Everyone!
I heard about Alt Summit a few years ago - it's a conference that combines bloggers with design. A lot of my favorite creative bloggers were in attendance or speaking so I knew it was the place to be. They have such great workshops on how to grow your blog, work on photography and graphic design, and so much more. It's also a great way to network with other likeminded bloggers and show off your snazzy business cards (really, they go all out). The conference is usually held in NYC or Salt Lake City. I actually have a nest egg growing so I can attend this conference, but whenever I find out about the event, it's sold out! Yes, it's that popular!
I saw a tweet last week about "Alt for Everyone." Intrigued, I clicked on the link in that tweet, and to my surprise, this event is literally for everyone. Alt Summit would be held completely online, so anyone can attend. Busy people like me can actually pick their classes around their schedules. For instance I can still work a few hours in the morning at my day job and be done in time for my students' pole graduation festivities Friday and Saturday. It will be held on May 16-18 and as far as I know there is still space available. The best part? You can attend up to 7 classes with your $125 registration fee. That's a pretty great deal if you ask me. You'll also get to attend a virtual meet up (I chose the pajama party!) and a keynote event by the ever so talented Joy Cho of Oh Joy.
So, what classes did I pick?
UPDATE! Alt updated their classes a bit so I not only got into the photography class that I really wanted to attend but also worked out my schedule so it did not affect my evening plans!
