Craft Up #2 Recap: Crafting and S'mores at Cosi
This past Saturday I hosted the second craft up. We had a small group but it was still tons of fun!
We met up at Cosi in Reston, Virginia and I just had to sneak in some lunch before everyone arrived. Their Signature Salad (light dressing and cheese for me) is one of my favorite meals there. The lemonade was refreshing for a lovely spring day.
I got there at the perfect time to snag the last corner cushioned seats so my fellow crafters could be comfortable - who knew how long we'd be there? Moments after I sat down, Cosi's was slammed with hungry customers.
I failed at taking any people pictures once again, but I made sure to at least take pictures of our yummy food!
I picked up some platters to share. Like this hummus dip...
And you can't come to Cosi without getting s'mores! This always reminds me of college since a lot of our sorority recruitment events revolved solely around making and eating s'mores here.
In the end we didn't really do all that much crafting. I brought my laptop for blogging and another brought her knitting bag, but we ended up helping our other friend put together her favor boxes for her wedding. How cute is this tiny little box?
Proof that crafting did ensue.
The rest of the time was spent chatting, catching up on life, talking about wedding plans, and eating lots and lots of s'mores.
This weekend's craft up was more like a social hour but it was fun to get together with friends and talk about crafts (and many other things). Thank you Amanda and Alison for hanging out with me and for Cosi for letting us take over a corner of their cafe, for the amazing service, and yummy food!
Want in on the next Craft Up? I'll post details soon about the next event - a photo walk! Save the date for now - it will be the morning of Saturday, June 22, 2013.
