DC-Themed Save the Dates

I’m always thrilled when it comes to design projects, but given how much I love DC, it was such a treat to design Ashley and David’s save the date cards. I can’t take all the credit though – Ashley came up with the idea with another designer but the final product just didn’t jive right. Enter Hey Love, I switched up the DC skyline, played around with fonts, color, and placement, and viola! A beautifully romantic yet simple card to announce their engagement in the Nation’s Capital.

Not to toot my own horn, but I’m usually pretty proud of the designs I create. But what makes me really happy and reinforces how much I love what I do is when the client is ecstatic to see the final product in person. Ashley told me “You make this wedding feel real now.” I squeed hard for the bride-to-be. It wasn’t even about what I did, it was just seeing how happy she was.

I can’t wait to work on their wedding invitations. And congratulations to Ashley and David!
