Green Sangria
Now that the weather is getting nicer, that just means more opportunities to entertain in your backyard, patio, balcony, wherever. We can start playing outside!
This past St. Patrick’s Day I was in search of something green to drink, but without the use of green dyes. I came across this recipe for green sangria and it did not disappoint at all. It was so refreshing, sweet, and light.
The best part about this drink is it’s also a snack! The fruit makes a nice boozy snack while you’re drinking the sangria.

Green Sangria
Adapted from What’s Cooking? by Lola Dee
One bottle good Pinot Grigio (I had Barefoot Moscato on hand and it worked fine)
2 cans lemon-lime soft drink
2 limes, sliced thin
2 kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced thin
2 sprigs mint leaves, removed from stem
1 cup green grapes
1 or 2 green apples, sliced thin
Just combine everything into a pitcher: easy! If you want to make this in advance, combine the wine and fruit together and chill. Add the soft drink before serving. Feel free to experiment with the fruit, but the green colors worked perfectly for St. Patrick’s Day.
